What Size?
At D & B Plants, we offer a range of sizes to meet the needs of both growers and retailers, whether large or small. We provide flexible plug and pot sizes designed to be efficient and economical for various operations.
30’s Plugs
Ideal for reducing initial costs and shipping expenses, these well-branched, strongly rooted plugs are ready for potting or field growing. Many of our clients use a field bed program with excellent results.
Quart and 5½” Pots
These larger sizes are designed for faster sales, with shorter growing cycles that reduce space requirements and wintering needs.
Example:
Buxus ‘Green Velvet’ is available in sizes 5½”, Quart, 30’s, and 2¼”.
Plant Sizes and Tier Pricing
Our pricing structure offers different tiers based on quantity:
30’s Plugs
30 plants per flat
- Tier 1: 1-60 plants
- Tier 2: 61-210 plants
- Tier 3: 211-600 plants
- Tier 4: 601+ plants
Quarts
15 plants per flat
- Tier 1: 1-30 plants
- Tier 2: 31-105 plants
- Tier 3: 106-300 plants
- Tier 4: 301+ plants
5½” Pots
8 plants per flat
- Tier 1: 1-7 plants
- Tier 2: 8-15 plants
- Tier 3: 16-39 plants
- Tier 4: 40+ plants
Terms of Sale
- Discounts: Available for orders paid within 30 days; no discounts after this period.
- Finance Charges: A 1.5% monthly charge applies to balances overdue by 30 days.
- Order Acknowledgment: All orders are confirmed based on current availability.
New Customer Policy
- Deposit: A 20% deposit is required to hold material.
- Payment: The balance is due before shipping or upon pick-up. We currently do not accept credit cards.
- Credit Terms: Upon approval, subsequent orders may be net 30 days, and credit references may be requested.
Minimum Order
- Common Carrier: A minimum of 16 flats is required.
- Pick-Up Orders: No minimum order for customer pick-up.
- Ordering Multiples: Liners must be ordered in multiples of 50; 30’s in multiples of 30.
Claims and Guarantee
We guarantee that all plant material is true to name, vigorous, and free of pests and disease. Please inspect your order upon arrival; claims must be made within five days of receipt.
Shipping
We welcome customer pick-ups. For delivery and common carrier shipments, shipping and handling charges will apply. Tier pricing is applied to each variety ordered rather than the total flats per order.
